今宮通（いまみやどおり）
京都市北区にある東西の通り。
名前の由来は通りの西側にある今宮神社からとなる。
今宮神社は京都の三大奇祭の１つと言われる「やすらい祭」や
「玉の輿」のことわざの由来となった桂昌院の話などが有名。
通りは住宅地を通り、広い道幅で作られた生活道路だが
今宮神社付近には古い京町家の街並みも残っている。

Imamiya-dori Street
An east-west street in Kita-ku, Kyoto City.
The name comes from Imamiya Shrine, which is located on the west side of the street.
Imamiya Shrine is famous for the "Yasurai Festival," which is said to be one of the three strange festivals in Kyoto,
and the story of Keishoin, which is the origin of the proverb "Tamanokoshi."
The street runs through a residential area and is a wide road for daily life,
but there are still old Kyoto townhouses remaining near Imamiya Shrine.
