The Chinese custom is very particular to the names of the foodstuffs which are consumed during the New Year's reunion meal or snack cookies and its meaning derived as well . For example, pineapple stands for "Wanglai" or Good Luck & etc. The Taro Red Dates Huat Kuih or Chinese Cupcakes is also made along this meaning. Taro is represent "good beginning", and Dates is "early" together they formed in Huat Kuih . It means prosperity comes in very early in the beginning. This yummy Taro Red Dates Huat Kuih , is a healthy low sugar recipe without using chemically based leavening agents. It solely depends on yeast to leaven and blossoms. Simple recipe with zero failure to make. The aroma of sweetness of the Red Dates during the steaming process is unmatched by others Huat Kuih.
材料Ingredients:
150克粘米粉150g rice flour
75克低筋面粉75g low protein flour
50克细黄糖50g light brown sugar
60克蒸熟的芋头60g steamed taro
40g 去核红枣40g pitted red dates
260毫升温水260 ml warm water
1茶匙酵母1 tsp yeast
1/2汤匙食用油 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
2汤匙普通面粉 2 tbsp all purpose flour
此食譜可以制作七粒鋁杯高30mm x 内直径60mm x 外直径 70mm
