In todays episode I set out to learn about the Batak Clans and people at Lake Toba on Samosir Island, North Sumatra. The Bataknese are known for being tough and straightforward people, and for tradition packed weddings. So I go to Huta Siallagan and the Batak Museum to learn about their culture and history, before attending a Bataknese wedding party.
I stay at a small boutique hotel on the half island, Tuktuk. The owners Mama Zoe (Samosir) and papa Zoe (Siallagan) makes sure I have a fantastic stay.
