We are back riding snowmobiles and this time, in Lake Vermilion in Northern Minnesota (and it was awesome). We stayed at the Fortune Bay Resort Casino in Tower, MN and rode right from the casino and hit the trails. The trail conditions were overall great - they have a pretty decent amount of snow and the snowmobile clubs did a great job maintaining them. Without knowing much of the area, we looked over a paper trail map and at the Polaris Ride Command App and found an awesome warming castle (a must-see, must-stop, hidden gem) which was nicer than some motels I have stayed at before. (HA!!) And to top off our ride, we swung by Tavern in the Bay for a delicious lunch and they have fuel there if you need to top off your sled too. When you can check off all the boxes on your trail riding bucket list (great trails ✅ awesome warming castle ✅ good food ✅) - you know it’s a day well spent on a snowmobile.
