Is there anything worse than getting bad light at sunset? Yes, getting kicked out of the park just as the light ignites is much worse. I mean, I understand the need to clock off and go home but sunset is the best time of day. Could we not move it until just after sunset? Pretty please?
While waiting hours to capture a sunset shot at Portland Head Light in Maine, I'm struck by the realization that I'm working too hard. I don't think wedding photographers suffer this way. I mean how bad can it be?
There's got to be an easier way to make a living than landscape photography. Sleeping in car parks and suffering the stench of evil hiking boots can't be good for me.
At least the day starts off pretty well with a spectacular diorama at Cabela's. The talking badger and racoon have got plenty to say if you're willing to listen.
The only wildlife you've got to be wary of is that found in downtown Portland. With the Fujifilm GFX100s and the Hasselblad X2D side-by-side I offer up my thoughts on some of the key differences between these two medium format cameras.
