Laser Cutting Custom Wet Molds for Leathercraft (1 of 2)

In this video (part 1 of 2) we explore a non-traditional way to make perfect wooden wet molds for your leathercraft projects using a laser cutter. Wet molding leather is good (no, GREAT) fun but sometimes its difficult to find objects that fit your project. Taking the next step to creating your own wooden wet molds often requires a basic level of woodworking knowledge and enough equipment to get the job done. If you arent versed in this process (like me) it will probably add hours and hours to your project. Using vector software and a laser cutting machine (Glowforge, Boss, Trotec, etc) you can design, cut, and assemble all the parts for your custom wet molds in a fraction of the time. Card holders, valet trays, cases, pen sleeves, the list is endless!
