UPDATED Info from David Durst on RSG G1000 Gen 3 (Thank you David): "I just got the new Gen 3 setup (1/22/2021), the audio panel now has a single USB connection only on it. No other cables are needed. Also the PFD/MFD you can dim the backlit lighting by pressing the top left knobs and rotating to dim the lights. on the audio panel you press the bottom knob above the red button to dim that light. Otherwise great information you provide on the other units in comparison!"
