Festive, frivolous, decked in sparkles – everyone loves an over-the-top table at Christmas. We sent Assistant Curator Iona out on a mission to find the most wacky, whimsical objects which scream Christmas in our collection, so we could lay our very own eclectic table.
From a giant soup tureen shaped like a chicken (!), to an ornate hot chocolate cup and flambéed Christmas pudding plates designed by Eric Ravilious (move over Mary Berry), marvel at some of our favourite festive fare, with a little help from Noel the suckling pig.
If you have anything which beats this at home, take us on in the comments... 🔥
