MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1/2 flat bristle (large), #10 round (medium), #2 round (small)
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, deep yellow, burnt umber (brown), green oxide, chrome orange, burnt sienna (rust)
Other: chalk, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the background with white, yellow, green and brown
2. chalk - Draw the outline of the deer
3. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the base coat of deer with rust
4. #10 round brush - Paint 1st layer of nose and ears with black
5. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint fur on body with black, brown, rust, yellow and white
6. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Finish ears with brown, tan (made in step #5), yellow, white and rust
7. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Finish the face fur with black, brown, rust, yellow, white and tan
8. #2 round brush - Finish facial features with black, white, brown, tan, rust and yellow
9. #10 round brush - Paint wild grass with black, brown, green, yellow and white
10. #10 round brush - Paint 1st layer of daisies with tan, white and brown
11. #2 round brush - Paint 1st coat of butterfly with orange, yellow and white
12. #10 round brush - Finish daisies with white, yellow, brown and tan
13. #2 round brush - Finish butterfly with black, white, yellow and orange
14. #2 round brush - Sign with black
