This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this whimsical seasonal holiday inspired image of "Naughty But Nice" with acrylic paint. MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1/2 flat bristle (large), #9 round (medium), #1 round (small)
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, cobalt blue, fire red, brown, green oxide, deep yellow
Other: white chalk or pencil, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the wall with green, brown, white and black
2. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the floor with yellow and brown
3. chalk - Draw outline of cat
4. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint base coat of cat fur with black, brown and white
5. #1 round brush - Paint 1st layer of facial features with black
6. #9 round brush - Paint cat shadows with black, brown and gray
7. #9 round brush - Paint highlight around mouth with white, yellow, gray and red
8. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint cat fur with red, yellow, gray, brown, white and black
9. #1 round brush - Finish facial features with green, yellow, white, brown, black and red
10. #9 round brush - Paint the string for lights with green and black
11. #9 round brush - Paint base coat for lights with white
12. #9 round brush - Paint glow of lights with red, blue, yellow and green
13. #9 round brush - Paint shine on lights with red, blue, yellow, green and white
14. #1 round brush - Sign with black
