This video shows you all the various buttercream mushrooms I've placed on my edible moss-covered Christmas tree cake! Morels, Chanterelles, Amanitas...and maybe a fantasy shroom or two!
I use spaghetti noodles as food-safe supports for the stems ... if you want to add extra strength, you can dip in white chocolate or in isomalt before overpiping the buttercream.
