Many times I get asked whether you need to know programming/coding to be in cybersecurity. While I don't think you NEED to necessarily, it is a VERY handy skill to have and is starting to pop up in job postings more often.
My goal is to teach you some Python so that you can build your own tools and automations and (hopefully) have some fun doing it. You will also learn some cyber security concepts and tools as we use Python to build our own cybersecurity tools.
In this episode, we will build a Reminder tool that prompts us to check our log files. This simple tool will be the vehicle for learning how to create basic Python variables and print output to the terminal screen.
