I forgot to mention the regular hop and shield tackle. Back hop is pretty self explanatory, it is used to retreat backwards while still facing the monster. I do not recommend back hopping to approach like lances did in other games. I think it looks super tacky and we have much better options for that in the 21st century. I do not consider shield tackle a movement option because it is never used for mobility. I consider it an offensive move that is part of a damage combo, or a guard move for things where you have to change your shield direction to block like Seregios’ double dive. I have not used it in a while so let’s discuss in the comments if I am mistaken. We may have lost the clutch claw counter, but lance mobility is so good in Sunbreak that I do not even miss it. I do not make these videos for views. I just want the community to have a different perception of the lance.
