You can learn to emotionally detach and live a healthier life once you learn to detach from your emotions, despite a painful past. Hypervigilance is the opposite of emotional detachment. Codependency implies you are attached to your emotions, perceptions, and subconscious unmet needs, all outside of conscious awareness. When you master emotional detachment, you experience emotional freedom, self actualization, and authenticity without fear.
Healing from codependency, implies you are learning to detach emotionally from the emotions of others, and your own, while encouraging the space between your thoughts to expand and grow, which becomes the plane of consciousness of the observer within.
