In this meeting, I talk about a proposal from Jesus that is not easy. But it is a wonderful proposal that helps us follow the path of spiritual evolution: forgiveness.
From the passage in which Jesus tells Peter that we must forgive seventy times seven, He teaches us that we must always forgive, while we are here.
Forgiveness is not born spontaneously in our hearts, it is a divine attribute. But we are capable of this, because we are daughters and sons of God.
To learn the value of forgiveness we need to stop and think about who we are. Just like others, we are also fragile. By understanding this, we can look at each other with mercy. And since God forgives us all the time, we can also learn to forgive.
Jesus' proposal for forgiveness wants to expose us to love, which is capable of making revolutions.
We are here on a journey of learning, to improve and evolve, and forgiveness is a huge step, a great advance on our journey.
May we believe that within each of us there is goodness, there is something that can be transformed. And may our way of forgiving be able to announce the God of love in which we believe.
