When my breast cancer metastasized to my spine and pelvis, it fractured a vertebrae in my back. I needed spinal fusion surgery to be able to walk and do normal activities again. The hardest part about going to the hospital for back surgery was leaving my 8 month old breastfed baby. The intense pain was also difficult lol.
