In this lecture we discuss how a rag-tag group of bohemian flaneurs and Manet groupies invent Impressionism and FAIL. Hard. Seriously. Total wipe out. It's over in less than 12 years, former friends are made into enemies, most give up on the movement and several people are bankrupted in the process and Manet is dead. Bummer.
