In July 2010, Donna and Gina Cooper and Jenny Leung visited Scotty’s Castle in Death Valley National Park. As they left the parking lot of the castle, Donna saw a sign for Racetrack Playa, a place she always wanted to visit. With her GPS device, she plugged in the destination. But Death Valley has a way to play tricks on you, especially if you rely on GPS. And today, it was leading them into a death trap.
