Reform UK “cannot function” with Rupert Lowe as an MP, the party’s chief whip has said.
Lowe, MP for Great Yarmouth, is accused of twice threatening Reform chairman Zia Yusuf and bullying two female staff members.
He denies the claims, saying he’s being targeted for criticising Nigel Farage, whom he called a “messiah” who won’t delegate.
Lowe, 67, has threatened to quit unless the party overhauls its leadership and starts “leading, not just protesting.”
His remarks are seen as an attack on Farage and a push for more influence.
Chief whip Lee Anderson wrote on X that Lowe’s refusal to cooperate with an investigation makes it impossible for the party to function.
Lowe responded, calling Anderson’s statement “simply not true,” adding, “I thought you were a friend. Evidently, I was wrong.”
