The Leeaberra Track (named after the Aboriginal word for the Douglas River) is a multiday walk in Douglas Apsley National Park, Tasmania. Access is via "E" Road, an unmarked forestry road north of Bicheno. The track must be walked from north-south to prevent the spread of root rot.
On Day 1, I walked 9.4km; the first 5.5km on logging roads (because the road is difficult to drive on in places), and the final 4.9km on the track. I also made a sidetrip to Heritage Falls after setting up camp.
I walked the Leeaberra Track from September 3-5, 2017.
