Lefkada is surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches Greece has to offer. Apart from the white beaches with turquoise sea, there are many other magical places to visit - the waterfalls of Nidri, the southernmost part of the island, Cape Dukato or the picturesque inland villages where lentils are still harvested in the traditional way. Aristotle Onassis, the famous Greek shipowner who owned the adjacent islet of Skorpios, spent much time in Nidri. Lefkada is also easily accessible by car, as it is connected to the mainland by a drawbridge.
