Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. Genesys is a creepypasta character made by Newgrounds user Revie03, based on a corruption of Sonic The Hedgehog on NES that happened during one of Vinny's Corruption Stockpile streams from 2017. In said corruption Sonic loses a life to the first boss, Robotnik in his Egg Wrecker, but instead of reloading the level at the last checkpoint the game glitched out, froze and showed a black screen saying "SONIC HAS PASSED" in all red letters before loading a rom of Somari, replacing Sonic with Mario has the former had passed away.
Genesys is an entity made by Revie_03 (ex director of VS. Sonic.EXE and EXE’s creator) that would later on be owned by Dumbie. This Eggman-based entity has taken full control of the entire game he resides in, and he uses Sonic's dead body as a toy that he kills over and over again.
