Herman Rarebell is best known as the longtime drummer for Scorpions, playing on some of the most iconic rock songs ever recorded. Songs like “Rock You Like A Hurricane,” “No One Like You,” and “The Zoo” have Herman’s indelible stamp all over them. Herman has turned the tables a bit and has made a record honoring his peers from the 80’s and their iconic songs. The album is called What About Love?, and it comes out April 11, 2025 on Metalville Records.
In this interview, Herman tells us about the lineup of great musicians on his new record, and why he chose the songs on the album. He also answers some burning Scorpions questions and takes us through his amazing time as the Scorpions drummer.
