This started as a 10 page essay in a children's media class a year and a half ago, and has ballooned into this monstrosity. I hope everyone can understand that I am HUGE fan of the show, wanted to bring as much nuance to this topic as possible, and am treating this largely as an excuse to analyze the show through the lense of its female characters. I cover the bad, and the good, and explain context for everything along the way, so hopefully everyone should be able to follow- even those who haven't watched the show.
