Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars from 2011 was very much an attempt to modernize the Star Wars part of the series with the upgrades brought along by Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, and Lego Harry Potter. It was also pushing brand new ground with immense Real Time Strategy land battles and upgraded space combat, where you could land your starship and run around on foot seamlessly. With all of that in place, it seems like a rather high bar to clear for the handheld versions of the game; even the Playstation Portable or the at-the-time brand new Nintendo 3DS were going to be much less technically capable to handle some of these, but this version even had to function on the much older Nintendo DS by this point! Will the Lego Game series trend of weird handheld ports be enough to save this one?
