Female artist Leonora Carrington is most known for her dreamlike and Celtic-inspired surrealist artworks. Even though she was half-Irish, born in England, she would become influential in the Mexican Surrealist scene post World War II. She had an eventful life, having a relationship with famous painter Max Ernst, escaping World War II, and being forcefully admitted into an asylum in her early 20s.
In this video I’ll be going over her life as well as some of her most important artworks!
