Although Service-Oriented architecture fell out of favor when microservices took over a while ago, it’s still a viable architecture and worthwhile to know how it works, as well understand its strengths and weaknesses. In this lesson I’ll describe the overall topology of the service-oriented architecture style and explain when you should use it, and when you should avoid using it.
