G’day Sew & Sews and welcome to my channel. This week I have drafted up my favourite pattern and tutorial so far, like I cannot express how much I love this bag. I would recommend you stick to my suggestions, especially in using a woven medium interfacing as well as the decovil light support pieces as that is what will give our bag that beautiful shape and give it the support it needs to keep that shape as we carry it around and show it off. I made a few practice bags as I was working out the pattern and getting it just right and I was using my final product one today and I got stopped twice by people asking me where I bought my bag. It’s the best feeling in the world when you can tell people that you made it! The pattern pieces are below in a link, if you have any problems just leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. I’ve added time stamps too so you can go back and play any bits you need to rewatch. In addition to the pattern pieces you’ll also need to cut out some rectangles for the slip pocket and handles. Slip pocket: 16 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Cut 2 lining fabric and 2 light interfacing Short handle pieces: 7 1/2 x 2 inches. Cut 4 from your exterior vinyl (or cotton woven, if using cotton, interface with light interfacing.) Long handle pieces. 20 x 4 inches. Cut 2 from your exterior vinyl (or cotton woven, if using cotton, interface with light interfacing.)
