This is the first in a series of video lectures that are designed around the curriculum for the British Society of Echocardiography's (BSE) level 1 accreditation. This introductory lecture is essentially a walkthrough of a level 1 scan in a healthy volunteer, and guides the viewer through the level 1 minimum dataset, covering which views should be obtained, which measurements should be made and what are the key assessments.
