Lily Tomlin began her career in stand-up and sketch comedy. In 1969, she got her big break when producer George Schlatter cast her in the hit television series LAUGH-IN. Creating memorable characters like Edith Ann, Ernestine, and Suzie Sorority, made her a household name. This comedy compilation includes her LAUGH-IN audition, as performed on THE AMERICAN COMEDY AWARDS in 1987, as well as some of her best moments from the variety show series. She also makes a guest appearance in a sketch from THE SMOTHERS BROTHERS COMEDY HOUR in 1975, with Pat Paulsen, Bob Einstein, and Ringo Star.
