Today I'll be walking you through a few of my recommended settings for the new Acoustic Simulator block that was included in the Helix 3.0 update. I also heavily recommend that an EQ and light compressor are placed after the block to do a bit of clean up. The acoustic sim in the HX software was modeled after the Boss AC-2, which I owned and used for years until I switched to using the HX Stomp full-time. It was a great way to get a passable acoustic tone in a situation where it might not be practical to bring a second instrument with you. I actually think that the Line 6 developer team did a better job with this patch than the actual pedal that they imitated. Bravo!
