»Drawing is Thinking«. That's a phrase by designer Milton Glaser, with which i want to start this channel with. I believe drawing makes us coincious of what we're looking at. And this is especially important for architects and landscape architects.
Architects and landscpae architects are rather ingeniers than artists. Therefore our drawing is an analisys. It is an instrument to record ideas, explore the environment and analize what we see.
An architectural sketch or drawing does not try to represent a physical image we see, but rather the one we percieve. It already contains our knowledge about the landscape, our thoughts and ideas.
Therefore a drawing or a sketch is always good, no matter how quickly it's drawn or how accurate it is. It serves it's purpuse as a recording of our thoughts at a certain time. There is no such thing as a bad sketch.
The goal of this channel is to inspire professionals, students or anyone else interested in drawing to start using sketching and drawing as a powerfull tool for thinking, exploring, design or simply - pleasure.
