Here is the fateful fight between African elephants and the huge pride of lions who are called the elephant hunter.
At subchi area in Chobe National Park, Botswana. This year, Botswana was experiencing a serious drought and its land was suffering from desertification. The herbivores became boney. And we found a pride of lions. This pride had 28 lions with some cubs under this severe environment. It’s so rare to see 4 male lions in one pride. During the day, an elephant got rid of them from a watering hole. But lions had some emotional leeway. Why?
At night, they went on hunting the elephants. 5 tons of elephant VS 180 kilograms of lion. The lions turned the tables from the day. The lions attacked the elephants all at once. Then, a mother elephant and her child got away from the herd. The lions took this opportunity and attacked the child elephant! What’s the mother elephant going to do? These lions were legendary elephant hunters.
