@oldguyandabike Has been riding SRAM 1X Mullet gearing on his Turner Cyclosys gravel bike for a few hundred miles now. It gave him a lower climbing gear, but was it worth it?
His thoughts on the give and take of it all.
NOTE: It cab be done cheaply too.
1) SRAM recently introduced APEX mechanical that will shift an 11-50 12 speed or a 10-52 12 speed cassette, so there is no need to spend big on AXS to get a Mullet setup.
2) Of course there is the option of the Ratio Technologies widget swap that takes a SRAM Doubletap 10 or 11 speed road shifter and converts it to 12 speed (road or MTB widgets are available). If you already own a SRAM road shifter set-up, it is a super budget way to get a Mullet running on your bike.
