LN Engineering's Nickies sleeving process fits billet aluminum sleeves similar to the Nikasil sleeves found in watercooled Mezger engines used in Porsche 911 996 and 997 Turbo, GT2, and GT3 models.. A Porsche M96 or M97 engine rebuilt using Nickies sleeves addresses all known issues including cylinder bore scoring, cracking of liners (also known as a d-chunk failure), and slipped sleeves found with Porsche Boxster, Cayman, and 911 996 and 997 models with watercooled Porsche M96 and M97 engines.
