For 8-10 people
Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes

Ingredients
5 cups flour (500 gr)
200 gr butter
1 tablespoon powdered sugar

For the syrup;
1.5 cups water (300 ml)
1.5 cups granulated sugar

For the outside;
Powdered sugar

Preparation
To prepare the syrup of the halva, mix 1.5 cups sugar and 1.5 cups water in a pot. After boiling for 20 minutes, remove from the stove and let it cool.
Then, add 5 cups flour to a suitable pan. Roast on medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes until the smell of the flour disappears. At this stage, the flour does not need to take color, lightly roasting will be enough.
Remove from the stove, sift the flour and transfer it to a suitable tray.
Break up the remaining lumps by pressing with the back of a spoon.
When it reaches a temperature that will not burn your hands, let's open the middle of the flour.
Add 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and 200 grams of butter that you have melted and cooled beforehand and mix it with your hands until the butter is well incorporated.
When it reaches the consistency of wet sand, let's put the flour back into the pan. Turn the stove on low heat and continue to roast, stirring constantly.
After roasting for about 20 more minutes, let's take the flour that has started to change color off the stove and transfer it back to the tray and spread it well.
Let's keep it in the tray like this until it reaches a temperature that will not burn your hands.
Then, let's add some of the syrup that you have prepared and cooled beforehand and start kneading.
To shape it, first let's break off pieces the size of a tangerine and roll it with our hands.
Let's cut the halva rolls we have prepared into short pieces with a knife.
After cutting all the halva, let's coat them in powdered sugar one by one and serve. Enjoy!
