Escanaba & Lake Superior ELS 503 (SD40-2) had some problems to start their afternoon in Michigan and had to stop in East Kingsford to top off the water in their radiator. Breitung Township hooked a water hose to a hydrant and got the locomotive filled up. While cruising thru Iron Mountain a fire truck left the station lights and sirens crossing the tracks and going down the road, it's path was blocked by the train. After it passed it continued the response. Then I find the gates on the north end of town stayed down after the train passed, I called their emergency number and reported the issue.
