Released in 1982 by German inventor Wolfgang "Wolf" Buchleitner, the Quantec is a digital reverb effect renowned for convincingly recreating natural spaces. Apple acquired the Quantec's technology and recreated both versions based on the original schematics, algorithms, and code.
