We’re all alone as we make our way the final 150 miles or so from Svolvær to Tromsø Norway! This section will take us four days and we hurried this final segment because we have strong winds predicted and we want to be settled into Skattora Marina before they arrive! We anchor in Grunnfjorden after taking a quick trip down the narrow and popular Trollfjord. The anchorage is so peaceful and beautiful. We then motor up Raftsundet waterway to get to the north side of the Lofoten peninsula. We slowly work against the fast running water -- the current is counter to our direction, which was going to happen at some point. We had a lot of miles to go! Once on the north side of the peninsula, we turn a bit more northeast and weave our way through lots of islands to get to the small but welcoming marina at Risøyhamn. It is late September and most mornings there is new snow on the peaks as we continue north! What am amazing country! Join us next time as we finish closing down Sea Rose for her long winter’s rest and then take several days for some wonderful land travel. We take several amazing hikes, stay in quaint hotels, drive curvy roads and enjoy the incredible fall foliage. Don’t miss it! Thanks for watching!
