A playthrough of the demo for Look Outside (v0.30d), where bad stuff is going on outside and you probably shouldn't peek. But some people did and now your apartment has gone to hell, so you should at least look inside at that.
This update adds more stuff to empty areas, such as the basement parking lot and the encounter that now gets you the janitor keys plus the Spore Mother is no longer a bugged fight. The elevator was accessible in 0.29b but I overlooked it - using it allows you to get the Earth and Mars discs back while accessing the ground floor to open the various disc doors. The elevator also allows you to reach the other side of floor 2 for the typewriter boss and one of the four offerings. As well, you can access the security cameras for another boss and make a recording to complete that offering.
On top of that, saving the baby rat critter will let it live in your apartment and be interactable (it's still unfinished, of course). There's also a number of new folks recruitable through door events: Montgomery and Xaria (who are added as a duo and are pretty OP due to Xaria's rifle), Morton (who you can turn junk in to get stuff), and Sophie (who I actually haven't found yet but have encountered her mother via door event and can confirm from the forums that she can join your party). Recruiting Montgomery and Xaria has them commandeer your bedroom so you have to sleep on the couch (I'm not sure if that affect the shadowy creature appearing in your apartment although in this run they didn't appear at all).
Eugene's shop is also currently bugged so I ignore it. The quest line with Nestor appears to not be fully finished yet but more happens than before. The convenience store monster bugged out for me but when it did work it chases you around the store.
This version also adds an easy and normal difficulty (a hard mode is intended to be added post-release). I'm playing on normal which only saves at the start of the day and when returning to your apartment after some time has passed.
So far, it seems like there may be a public 0.40 demo for some polishing before the intended release in January. Regardless of whether there are more builds this is one I'm very much looking forward to the full game.
