ព្រះគោ«នន្ទិ»(नन्दि) ឬ«នន្ទិទេព»(नन्दिदेव) ឬ«នន្ទីស្វរៈ»(नंदीश्वर) ទ្រង់គឺជាយានជំនិះដ៏មានមហិទ្ធិឫទ្ធិខ្លាំងក្លា និងជាសាវ័កដ៏ស្មោះស្ម័គ្រស្វាមីភក្តិបំផុតរបស់ព្រះសិវៈ ឬព្រះឥសូរ, ដោយពេលខ្លះទ្រង់ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងទម្រង់ជា«សត្វគោ»សម្បុរ-សពេញលក្ខណៈ និងពេលខ្លះទៀតទ្រង់ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងទម្រង់ជា«ន្រឹសភ៑»(नॄषभ)ឬពាក់កណ្តាលមនុស្ស ពាក់កណ្តាលគោ, មានព្រះហស្ត២ ឬ៤ ដោយក្នុងព្រះហស្តមានកាន់ពូថៅ, គទាវុធ និងសត្វខ្ទីងវល្លិ៍ ។ ព្រះគោ«នន្ទិ»ទ្រង់គឺជាប្រមុខនៃ«សិវគណៈ» ឬជាធំលើកូនចៅរបស់ព្រះសិវៈទាំងអស់នៅលើភ្នំកៃលាស រួមមាន៖«ភ្រឹង្គី»(भृङ्गी), «ស្រឹង្គី»(शृङ्गी),«តោតលា»(तोतला) «វេតាល»(वेताळ) និង«បិសាច»(पिशाच)ជាដើម។ ព្រះគោ«នន្ទិ»មិនមែនគ្រាន់តែជាយាន ជំនិះ ឬសាវ័កធម្មតានោះទេ តែទ្រង់ក៏ប្រៀបដូចជាមិត្តភក្តិស្គាល់ចិត្តថ្លើមរបស់ព្រះសិវៈផងដែរ ដោយទ្រង់តែងតែនៅក្បែររួមសុខរួមទុក្ខ បម្រើប្រណិប័តន៍ព្រះសិវៈគ្រប់ពេលវេលា។ ព្រះគោ«នន្ទិ»ទ្រង់គឺជាបុត្ររបស់ឥសី«សិលាទ៑»(शिलाद) ហើយទ្រង់មានមហេសីព្រះនាមថា«សុយសា»(सुयशा) ដែលជាបុត្រីដ៏ស្រស់ស្អាតរបស់ព្រះ«មរុត»(मरुत)។
