A young man sees a girl filling a pitcher in a river, and he falls in love. The young man is discovered by his father Juan Lucas; Juan Lucas asks the "Prince" for help to ask for the girl's hand in marriage to his son.
They go to the girl's house to meet with the girl's father, Mateo Bautista.
