Hopefully the EPA doesn't take down this video! Trains & Locomotives can be dirty: here's an example of over 25 ALCO, EMD & GE locomotives throttling and blowing exhaust all over the place! True gritty railroading at its finest. There's nothing quite like the heat and smell of diesel exhaust hitting your face when a notched freight goes roaring past! (Train info below)

Despite these dirty catches, most trains don't spew smoke like this all of the time. In fact, on average, hauling freight by rail is 3x more fuel efficient than by trucks on the highway!
