Award winning South African knifemaker Deon Nel is considered among the best Loveless style knifemakers anywhere. His understanding of the Loveless designs and sense of balance is particularly good.
Both the blade and full tang are distal tapered for a perfect balance. The Bohler N690 stainless steel was meticulously hollow ground and mirror polished. The blade is razor sharp. N690 ensures a keen, long lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high performance use knives.
Maroon Micarta scales are set on the distal tapered full tang for strength and durability. Red vulcanized fiber spacers add a nice contrast. The handle is perfectly contoured for a secure, comfortable grip that you won't want to put down. The handle is completed with two hidden bolt rivets and a steel lined lanyard hole. The 304 stainless steel guard meets with the handle scales in an elegant, perfectly performed S-curve.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched cowhide sheath.
