This video discusses why I believe that high technology (high Tech) apps and smart devices are not always the best solutions for helping with organization, task completion, and working memory issues for people with ADHD. Instead, I discuss various low tech solutions that can work just as well or better, be less distracting, and are easier to keep at the point-of-performance in your visual field when trying to accomplish tasks or goals. Many are paper and pencil products readily available at office supply stores. A few are mid-tech devices that can help with recording information you need to remember to do. Among these is the Smart Pen at livescribe.com. Finally, I mention a new product that involves short to do list cards that can be used for organizing tasks, that can be easily taken with you to any places necessary, and that can even contain self-organizing tips and self-motivational reminders, at the website LoveBugs.com.
