Lupe Fiasco is a Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist, rapper and producer. He's worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Ye, Pharrell Williams and more.
He's known for his rhymes, lyrics and storytelling with albums like his 2006 debut Food & Liquor, his 2007 project The Cool and his highly anticipated 2011 album Lasers, which features hit song “The Show Goes On.”
Now, Fiasco is back with his latest record Samurai.
Japanese culture and martial arts has played a significant role in Fiasco's life in and out of the studio. The Chicago rapper was introduced to martial arts by his father, Sensei Gregory Jaco.
The movement of Black martial arts was embedded in his community of the South Side and he came up through his father's dojos learning all kinds of martial arts styles from judo, aikido, karate, tae kwon do, tai chi and more.
