After the lively Water Splashing Festival in Mangshi, we drove north to Tengchong — a serene mountain town on the China-Myanmar border.
We hiked through Baihualing rainforest, soaked in wild hot springs, sipped local coffee, and tried Burmese-style head massages.
This is a slower, gentler side of Yunnan — full of small surprises: birdwatchers in courtyards, squirrels stealing fruit, locals sharing loquats and stories.
If you’re looking for an escape from the tourist crowds, come explore Tengchong with us.
