LVTP-5 is a series of amphibious landing track armored vehicles used by the US Marine Corps. It was designed by Borg Warner Company and built by FMC (Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation) and other companies. It was first put into service in 1956. LVTP-5 was first used in the Lebanese crisis in 1958. A total of 1,124 vehicles were produced, including the professional variants.
