M. R. Rajakrishnan is a celebrated Indian audiographer and sound designer known for his contributions to Indian cinema across multiple languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali. Starting his career under the mentorship of Deepan Chatterjee, he later became the chief sound engineer at Four Frames Sound Company in Chennai. With expertise in sound designing and mixing for over 200 films, Rajakrishnan has received several prestigious accolades, including the National Film Award for Best Audiography for Rangasthalam (2018) and multiple Kerala State Film Awards for Best Sound Mixing for films like Urumi, Chaappa Kurish, Manchadikuru, and Charlie. His exceptional sound design work has made him a key figure in shaping the auditory experience of Indian cinema.
