Here is an amazing rendition of Maadu Meikum Kanne by Smt. Aruna Sairam. Her voice is so strong and unique it is really exhilarating to hear her. She sings the song with so much affection which makes the song very special and appealing. This song is a dialog between Lord Krishna as a child and his mother Yasodha. Krishna wants to go out to play and rear the cattle while Yasodha tries to stop him giving reasons such as ‘it is a very sunny day, Little Krishna might be attacked by wild animals and thieves and so on.' Yasodha, the loving mother also attempts to lure Baby Krishna with the things he likes. But Little Krishna doesn’t heed to her request and instead, answers all her worries very smartly and finally he gets to go out to play.
